I am so incredibly privileged to know mixed media artist, Cynthia Chartier. I met her in the late 60s through her little sister, actress and acting coach, Nancy Chartier. Nancy and I have been best friends since then. I remember loving to go to Cyn’s place when I was young. She would teach Nancy and I about clothes and makeup and, of course, art. Cyn runs an art studio out of Dallas, Texas now, and I am begging her to offer online classes. She is thinking about it! Yay!

In 2005 she was awarded Artist of the Year by the Jesuit Dallas Museum. In 2003 and 2001 Chartiér was awarded 1st place in the juried exhibition at the Jesuit Dallas Museum.”
